Please log in to like, share and comment! - It is with great sorrow, we mourn the loss of EMS Captain John Vaitkus who was a loyal public servant to the citizens of Los Santos and to the State of San Andreas. On April 12th, 2024, Captain John Vaitkus responded to his final tone at approximately 21:15.
Born in 1996 in Chicago, Captain John Vaitkus was the son of a proud Lithuanian immigrant family. John embodied the spirit and dedication that defined his life. After completing his education, John relocated to Liberty City, where he began his distinguished career in emergency services, serving as an EMT with the Liberty City Fire Department. His commitment to helping others never went unseen throughout his three years. He would later transfer to the Los Santos Fire Department, and his fire to continue serving the community wouldn't die. It was here, John's leadership qualities and relentless drive that propelled him to become a Captain. Beloved by his colleagues, Captain Vaitkus was known as a firm, kind, and compassionate firefighter and paramedic. He was a mentor to many, he never hesitated to share his knowledge and his experience. With his unwavering dedication, John cemented himself as a cornerstone of not only the department, but as a beloved member of the community he served. Without a doubt, John's loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
Captain John Vaitkus, on behalf of the Los Santos Fire Department, the citizens of Los Santos, and the State of San Andreas, we thank you for your many years of dedication to this department, to this city, and the community that you served. We've have it from here, John.
"We may choose to be reminded of the pain their departure left us. Or we may choose to celebrate the days we spent together. Captain John Vaitkus, as you may all agree, would surely choose the second. Were he here, he'd be asking you all- ... Why those faces? The answer to that question, I'll let each of you to decide. Deep in your hearts. As for me? I will choose my service to this community as my personal answer." - Deputy Chief Andrew Romero -

🕊️ - The Los Santos Police Department is aware of the increase in violence and targeted attacks in the Richman area, and around the ULSA Campus Grounds. Over the last several days, officers have responded to a number of calls for service initiated from the ULSA campus grounds and surrounding neighborhoods, many of which have pertained to acts of wanton violence against innocent students by individuals who believe themselves above the scope of law and order.
Following on from this unprecedented and unequivocal increase in violent behavior within the beautiful Northern District neighborhoods, the Los Santos Police Department will be meeting with Senator Adrian Rossi and colleagues to discuss a number of proactive, preventative measures the Department intends to take to ensure the students of ULSA need not feel unsafe in their own homes and within the company of friends, and that these groups of cheap, opportunistic cowards are brought to justice.
The Department urges all affected to continue reporting these incidents via the emergency line (if appropriate), or via the LSPD HQ Facebrowser account ( https://face.gta.world/LSPDHQ ) with as much information as possible. Additionally, affected individuals or witnesses to an incident may report this to any officer, or at a Community Police Station.
