  • Quite the article, lots of details, lots of questions. Fraud allegations like these always stir things up, and it's good to see the story being covered with depth by Insider. We need transparency in cases like this, and it’ll be important to follow how it all plays out. No matter what, I’ll be keeping an eye on how this develops.

A joint effort by Holly and Gabriel Stone following an LSSD investigation into The Coleman-LaBelle Fund surrounding concerns of fraud. A very long night and a long day putting this together.

Insider commits itself to unbias and fair reporting, and we'd love to hear your thoughts, either as a comment here on FB or on the article itself. Equally, feel free to phone in on #151 and let us know what you think.

The League represents thousands of our dedicated men and women of the Los Santos Police Department, who give their lives to maintain safety. We are deeply concerned about the recently proposed Senate resolution recommending the establishment of union-grant programs. This is an undue burden on taxpayers, and unions should remain financially independent, relying on member contributions rather than external government handouts. This blind approach by Senate Democrats risks blurring the line between union autonomy and state influence. We see through this, and the League will never be puppeted by the government; instead, we will continue to serve our hard-working servicemen and women.

  • I want to commend Preston's administration for stepping up big time with this tremendous $1.5 million in relief funds for the great people of Paleto Bay! The recent fires were a disaster, and it's fantastic to see we’re taking action to help our residents get back on their feet. This is exactly the kind of support our community needs right now.

  • These wildfires are dangerous, and they’re now right on the outskirts of Paleto Bay—very bad situation. Our firefighters, our law enforcement, our volunteers—they’re heroes. Absolute heroes.

Our state is strong, San Andreas is strong. We’ve faced challenges before, and we’ve always come out stronger. This is what we do. We help each other, and we’re going to get through this together. Stay safe, stay strong. God bless.

  • All the Tribune did was embolden criminals, put more people in danger, and undermine the hard work of our law enforcement agencies. The real issue here isn’t about the Tribune stepping in—it's about them stepping over the line and then trying to justify it with finger-pointing. They want to be the heroes in their own narrative, but in reality, they just put more lives at risk. Their so-called ‘decision’ to pay a ransom was not only reckless, it was downright stupid. The Tribune’s total disregard for the law and their willingness to undermine it just to sell a story is shocking.

Stick to operating the printing press, leave public safety to the trained professionals.

To the People of Los Santos,

In response to the recent outrage expressed by Mayor Hank Preston and members of the city and state governments, we at the Los Santos Tribune will not back down from addressing the real issue: the complete failure of our public institutions to protect their citizens when it mattered most.

Let us be clear. Our decision to pay the ransom was not made lightly. We reached out to 911 multiple times, expecting a prompt response from the authorities, but were met with silence. By the time law enforcement finally responded, the victim’s life had been hanging in the balance for too long. The Tribune stepped in when no one else did.

We refuse to apologize for doing what was necessary to save a life when the system failed. The people of Los Santos deserve more than bureaucratic excuses and delayed action. We will not stand by while government officials point fingers at the Tribune for taking swift action, when the reality is that their lack of urgency put an innocent life at greater risk.

This situation is not just about one ransom, it's about the broader failure of our leaders to act when the people need them most. We will continue to report the truth, expose incompetence where we find it, and ensure that the voices of those failed by the system are heard.

The Los Santos Tribune stands firm in our values: impartiality, truth, and the responsibility to the citizens of this city. We were there when the government wasn't, and we will continue to hold them accountable for every life left in jeopardy due to their inaction.

This is your city, and this is your Tribune. We will never stop fighting for the truth.

    Sincerely,
    The Los Santos Tribune

  • Sad news for Los Santos. I’ve always believed that strong, smart leadership is what makes a city great, and Ryan's work delivered that in spades. The city should be very proud of his work. My thoughts are with his family.

  • This so-called judge for this case completely trampled on the Constitution. It’s like he’s never even read the Fourteenth Amendment. A judge who doesn’t respect due process? Can you believe it? No notice, no explanation—Total embarrassment by Kuroba. Too busy playing dictator in his courtroom.

A couple days ago I was arrested following an outrageous decision by the Superior Court, which was swiftly reversed by the Appeals Court, all charges dropped. https://gtaw.link/blackwellappeal

This is why I am proud to truly serve the People against what sometimes may feel like a tyranny. Put your faith in the Justice System, do things right, and the truth will prevail. I wanted to share my experience for all of those who are going through it and may feel alone in the darkness.

  • Yesterday, 5 police officers assigned to Mission Row Division received their MRD station pins, having graduated from the field training program.

Lieutenant Casal had the following to say:
"These officers have been moulded into the finest the Department can offer. Many have tried, many have failed. But not these officers standing before me. So I'd like to officially welcome them to the Castle."
