Ahead of the 29th edition of King of the Ring, our fighters spared no expense at the mic nor each other on Wednesday's press conference held at the KOTR Arena.
The Sunday night class might be the swansong for one of KOTR's most seasoned veterans, Milorad "The Serbian Shepherd" Djordjevic. With his eyes set on what may be his last performance, the Serbian wasn't there to mince words, stating that "On Sunday, it's gonna be actions that speak in the cage."
His opponent, Boris "The Piranha" Kobulashvili didn't back down from the verbal repose. And why would he? His recent record speaks for itself, stating that he will "Call out anyone". The Piranha's punches weren't only aimed as his opponent either. Jethro Fairbanks found himself caught in the crossfire as well, being called a "Ladies man" — being referred to by The Piranha as "A veteran losing to newcomers."
Fairbanks himself proverbially swung back. At everyone and everything in front of him. Ahead of his lightweight bout against Quantrell Stratton, the LC-born powerhouse was ready to verbally scrap with anyone and anything with a microphone, including VIP guest Thiago Athanas, owner of Viendemonte when he opted to ask a question, stating: "Hope it's question about how to run a business, because this fella doesn't know how." and taking pot shots at his Sunday Night opponent, stating that he was "Scared to show up to the conference."
KOTR 29 heats up and it's all poised to come crashing down at Sunday, April 13th at the KOTR Arena.
7:30 PM, mark your calendars.
