Recent Updates
  • We've kept a close eye on the developments of the case surrounding Anastasia Bannockburn and the SHAFT Act. Hank Miller brings you the verdict in his thorough article, having followed the case from the start. Great work Hank.

While this case may be over, more developments following the outcome of this are underway, as legislation has been proposed to give ULSA's Campus Security more scope to carry out their duties, expanding the radius of control to off-site University events and giving them the authority to detain individuals within a mile of the Campus, not just restricted to Campus grounds. We will follow this closely and provide updates as they are made public.

  • Being an attorney in law is a very complicated profession. To the point when a few unfortunate colleagues decide to punish us by exercising the rights of our clients and duties out of personal animosity, alone.

Today, in the case of Granados v. People, 2025, Slip. Op. 5 (2nd Ct. App.) whose transcript can already be seen on the 2nd Court of Appeals webpage, I've overturned a decision of a Trial Judge whose flawed judgment led him to imprison me and send me to jail only for placing an objection on his record.

Hopefully, it serves now as a precedent that we attorneys cannot and will not be silenced, and that our voices will be heard, whether they're liked or not.

  • In June, Abdul was arrested without probable cause, accused of stealing a shop only because of his skin color. He had to endure months inside jail until his case was dismissed. After years of a tenacious fight, other Court granted him the justice he was entitled to.

When will The Mayor, The Sheriff, or the DA release a statement about how much money does the misconduct from their agents cost to the taxpayer?

We will never know, but Campanelli & Granados pays their debts.

  • A lot of politicians are leeches but wash your mouth about the Public Defender's Office because you're the reason it's gone by now
A lot of politicians are leeches but wash your mouth about the Public Defender's Office because you're the reason it's gone by now
Imagine lying to people through emotional manipulation to get their vote because that is the only thing you are able to do for a living.

This is why I never got involved with politics. Leeches, every single politician is a leech.

Years as the Director of Health and Welfare sure taught me a lot about dealing with those in vulnerable positions. Hanky forgets I built that thing from the ground. The Child Protection Services program? My doing, including the State Legislation. The Affordable Housing Program? Also my doing.

And then, Chief Public Defender for the whole county.

Don't allow these politicians who have their feasts with their friends from "waste management" (you know what I mean), with your taxpayer money, to lie to you.

Don't allow the politicians to mislead you.

  • Instead of fighting inflation, helping the working class or fixing our broken economy the mayor and senate draft a bill to punish people for harassing and assaulting workers, which is already punishable by the Penal Code. San Andreas/Los Santos government is straight out of a videogame
