  • Very good read. World is transforming from Industrial Era to Digital/Information Era, and it is important to be understanding it's effects on working-class people from Historical Materialist perspective. Information labor is replacing industrial labor and transforming work environments, like remote workers, as prisoners with A.I. navigated surveillance systems. Recording hours, suppressing access to recreational content on computers during work hours, and spying on digital information. People being more underpaid than before. Imagine working inside home and your employer is spying on you. Restricting access to content because you are not completing hours. Excessive micro-managing of every thing through A.I. surveillance technology. Employer using remote-viewing software accessing private and personal files. Activating camera and microphone surveilling private activities. Many issues with Capitalism inside Digital Information Age.

My question is this: Is micromanaging through A.I. software boosting productivity or suppressing freedoms? How are we balancing two conflicting issues together? I am agreeing with productivity but what is preventing employer from accessing confidential personal information on computer?

I am supporting abolishment of employers but problem is we are needing leadership and management to maximize productivity and quality of goods and services.
