  • Statement of Chief Justice Jennifer A. Scherer, of the Supreme Court of San Andreas, on the creation of the new Commission on Access to Justice & Public Outreach and the renewal of the Commission on Judicial Performance:

"I am excited to announce the creation of our Commission on Access to Justice & Public Outreach, along with the renewal of our Commission on Judicial Performance. Whereas the latter aims at ensuring that our Courts work efficiently and judicial misconduct is thoroughly studied, our Commission on Access to Justice & Public Outreach will serve as a connection between our Courts and the community. Some of the first programs I'd like to see implemented are tighter links with ULSA and educational institutions to bring our youth closer to our Courts, to learn and experience part of it, along with a "Coffee with a Judge" program. These are ground-breaking programs that have never seen the light in our Judiciary and its history, and only under my leadership and our fresh commission will they create enough impact to improve our community and access to justice."

  • Statement of Chief Justice Jennifer A. Scherer, of the Supreme Court of San Andreas:

"We condemn the criminal acts that have taken place today in Mission Row, with a van-bomb exploding outside of the Republican HQ. This is unthinkable in democracy, and unseen in our local history. Our condolences go to the families of those civilians and peace officers that have lost their lives. For safety reasons, the Greg E. Joplin Courthouse will remain closed and duty judges will work remotely for the remainder of the night, and will resume its common duties tomorrow at 8 AM."
