April 8, 2022 - Early in the Morning an unstable male subject armed with a handgun evaded officers in a postal truck before eventually stopping at the Davis LTD gas station. Here, the subject entered and took the clerk hostage at gunpoint. A hostage situation response was initiated by LSPD and members of the LSPD SWAT team as well as K9 platoon began containment and negotiations. The subject was extremely unhinged and fired numerous bullets through the store window at police from a position of cover while negotiations continued. Eventually, a SWAT marksman neutralised the subject when they attempted to shoot at officers outside the building after emerging from cover.
