It has been a sad period here at Los Santos County Lifeguards, however we congratulate Section Chief Rico Marshall on their retirement! Having been a vital part of the Lifeguards for a whopping 10 years, and spearheading several new programs and overhauls internally within the division. Not to mention the impact on hundreds if not thousands of patients and dozens of Lifeguards, both new candidates and returning or transferring Lifeguards. Chief Marshall maintains a vital part in the history of the LS County Lifeguards. We wish Chief Marshall the best of luck in their future endeavors and remind him that this is not a goodbye, but a see you later! :)

I never thought this day would come, especially so soon but today was my last ever shift as Lifeguard Section Chief with the Fire Department. Ten years of serving the community as a Lifeguard and Volunteer firefighter before making my way to Lifeguard Chief. From there I joined tactical medics and went on over 100 deployments alongside SWAT and SEB. I can't even count how many Ocean search and rescues, or water rescues I've been apart of over the years. I'm grateful for my Lifeguard family for an awful lot of things, for welcoming me in all those years ago and making me the person I am today. Now it's time to hand the mantle to someone else. My goal is to continue helping others and supporting businesses in a different role. A new adventure awaits.
