❄️ Winter Weather Advisory ❄️
The first winter weather advisory of December 2024 is in effect today. Winter weather - whether it's snow, ice, or sleet can create dangerous road conditions.

⚠️ Slow down. It's harder to operate or stop your vehicle on snow-covered surfaces. Increase your following distance to ensure you have enough time to stop for vehicles ahead. Use extreme caution when passing a snowplow. Snowplows travel slowly, make wide turns, stop frequently, and often exit the road.

You may notice changes in your tires. Make sure each tire is inflated to the vehicle manufacturer's recommended pressure, which can be found in your vehicle manual or on a label located on the driver's side door frame. Do not inflate the tires to the pressure listed on the tire itself.

Inspect your tires at least once a month and before any long drives. Check the tires when they're cold - that is when they haven't been driven on for at least two hours. Be sure to inspect the entire vehicle for damage or unusual conditions, including cuts, punctures, cracks, or bumps. Don't forget to check your spare tire as well.

🚨 In case of an emergency, dial 911 immediately. Ensure your vehicle is visible and take precautions to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning. Stay tuned for more winter weather driving tips.
