On the 29th, Diversify and Free Thinking teamed up for our debut Pride Gala, successfully raising one million dollars through an auction to benefit the Los Santos LGBT Center and The Sacred Heart Homeless Shelter. Following the auction, Diversify donated two hundred thousand dollars, and its CEO, Faith Labelle, personally contributed an additional four hundred thousand dollars to both charities. As a result, the Los Santos LGBT Center and The Sacred Heart Homeless Shelter each received eight hundred thousand dollars, thanks to the generous contributions made throughout the night. Overall, we raised 1.6 million dollars. We promised that we would reschedule our event for you all, and that we did! Diversify have collaborated with Free Thinking Publications to bring you our very first Pride Gala. Hopefully, this will be our first of many and we have so many fun things lined up for you as we bid adieu to Pride season in the name of raising money for a LGBTQIA+ charity, as well as other charities in Los Santos. We have no entry fee to attend, so please - to our LGBTQIA+ family, feel free to attend for an opportunity to raise money for our excellent charities which the proceeds of our auction will go towards. For the upcoming Diversify Pride event, we decided to auction specific pieces, including a piece that I painted exclusively for the auction section of the event. Titled 'Even in Death, I Bloom', honoring and inspired by Marsha P. Johnson's legacy, the painting aims to honor the legacy of the LGBT friends, family, and icons that we unfortunately lost during the stride for LGBT+ acceptance.
