Icons from the eighties? I couldn't skip such an iconic and influential sports sedan, that has basically created all the competition between German performance luxury sedans. I have that finding a real and non-modified Scharmann Vorschlaghammer was incredibly hard, but here it is!

Ah, the 1986 Benefactor Scharmann - a car that needs no introduction for enthusiasts of classic European luxury sedans. Lawyers and doctors bought them brand new in the United States forty years ago and now it's an exclusive enthusiast car. And what about the performance version, the Vorschlaghammer? Well, these are incredibly powerful and rare, the United States of America got only 13 of them imported, when these were out!
Moving to the design - Scharmann's sharp angles, chrome accents, and commanding presence make it a standout on the road. Vorschlaghammer features custom rims, custom bumpers, a different grille and a ducktail spoiler. This is the kind of car that looks like it belongs in a 80s crime drama, parked outside a high-rise while the protagonist stays inside. The Vorschlaghammer’s design is a masterclass in understated elegance, with just enough aggression to stay classy.
Tuners love Scharmanns, but usually they just get a diesel or an inline-six model and make it look like a Vorschlaghammer. There is a great variety of aftermarket parts, but mostly they just copy the exterior of the Vorschlaghammer and made to be put on regular trim levels of the sedan. The wheel parameters are quite regular and you'll definitely find a lot of great fits too!
And let’s be honest, you won’t see many of these cruising the streets of Los Santos. While it’s not exactly a unicorn. If you do spot one, it’s likely being driven by someone who isn’t afraid to stand out from the sea of modern supercars.

When it comes to performance, the 1988 Benefactor Scharmann Vorschlaghammer is a testament to the brute force and engineering prowess of its time. Under the hood sits a 6 Liter massive V8 engine, delivering a solid 375 horsepower and 417 lb.-ft. of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The sedan also features a limited slip differential, sports steering, Atomic sports tires and reworked suspension, which doesn't really help in really tight corners - the car is slidey and not quite controllable. This Benefactor runs from 0 to 60 in 5 seconds flat, making the driver's heart beat faster.
The car has showed 01:09.62 on SACRA's track, Horizon Motor Speedway, February configuation. I expected it to be a lot faster and easier to control, to be honest.

Inside of the Vorschlaghammer, you’re greeted by an interior that prioritizes old-school luxury over modern gadgetry. The driver-focused cockpit is pure elegance, with plush leather seats, a classic three-spoke steering wheel, and a dashboard with wood trim and analog gauges. There are an A/C, cassette player, heated seats - all the comfort that you need! Also, the rear seats are quite spacious for a sedan that size and the trunk space is decent too.
The price depends on the condition of the vehicle, but you surely can find a great Scharmann for great money. Not sure about Vorschlaghammer, but you may be lucky too!
The value is alright as well. Monsterious engine, great looks, but it seriously lacks tech and could drive a bit better, if it was more modern.

That's not exactly my cup of tea, but the car is surely cool. It ticks a lot of the boxes, gives some European mafia vibe and the exhaust notes are truly wonderful
It's a perfect match for everyone, who needs something great-looking, classy, elegant, but loud and reasonably fast at the same time. But if you're looking for a real match, visit MatchMe!
