It is with profound sadness that we announce the end of watch for one of our finest, Sergeant Ryan Amirault. On April 21st, 2024, we lost a true hero. Ryan served with unwavering dedication and courage as the Officer in Charge of our dignitary protection service, leading H Platoon of Metropolitan Division. His commitment to duty was unmatched, and his professionalism was a beacon of light in our department. Ryan wasn't just a colleague, he was a great friend to many of us here at Mission Row Station, where his presence and leadership were deeply valued. Today, as we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate his life and the countless lives he touched through his service. Let us remember his sacrifice and honor his memory. Sergeant Ryan Amirault, you will be deeply missed. Rest easy, brother.

Pacific bluffs festival, Rock on Beach festival, Metromania festival, Dionysia hall, Cloud 9bar, Out of towners bar, Hell on Hawick bar, Hex bar, McKenzie airfield, and many other venues. We've done Halloween shows, Friday the 13th show, Little red ridding hood, etc. But we wouldn't be here if there wasn't for all of you! Thank you for your support for past two years! LSPD NEWS: NR009-24js Repeated Offender Apprehended by LSPD Metropolitan Assets

April 13th, 2024 - Members of LSPD SWAT, D platoon, conduct warrant service on a subject. SWAT surrounded, contained the vehicle the high risk suspect was inside and proceeded to peacefully call out and detain all occupants, despite firearms being present in the vehicle with Members of LSFD TEMS (Tactical Emergency Medical Services) rendering aid to one of the occupants for a minor self-committed injury.

Not to be overshadowed by an eclipse, but on April 9th, 2024 at 1950 hours, K9-16 Ortega and K9-23 Maldonado along with K9-30 Wojcik responded to a call for service in the Mirror Park district in reference to an attempted armed robbery.

Upon their arrival, K9-16 Ortega and K9-23 Maldonado were advised by the reporting parties that the offender was observed carrying a rifle and that he fled on foot after abandoning his vehicle on East Mirror Drive. K9-30 Wojcik, K9-16 Ortega and K9-23 Maldonado formulated a search plan to locate the offender. K9-16 Ortega informed on-scene personnel that he was familiar with the suspected offender and directed units to begin a canine track from a location known to be used by the offender.

K9-30 Wojcik, K9-16 Ortega and K9-23 Maldonado successfully tracked the offender up the Tataviam Mountains through a variety of rough terrain, altitudes and unknown obstacles with the assistance of K9-23 Maldonado's canine partner, K9 Arlo.

Following the capture of the offender, K9-30 Wojcik, K9-16 Ortega and K9-23 Maldonado continued to demonstrate amazing work by properly concluding their investigation into the call for service.

On behalf of the Metropolitan Division Canine Platoon, we thank you for your excellent service in protecting the entire community.
