  • May 22, 2023 LSPD SWAT and K9 responded to Mission Row Division at the conclusion of a vehicle pursuit of an armed suspect. When the suspect refused to comply with the Officers demands, SWAT Officers responded to assist with the suspect barricaded within a property. Following negotiations, the suspect refused to comply and barricaded the entrance of their property. The barricade at the entrance was opened forcefully, SWAT Officers later utilized tactical technology to locate the suspect within the structure, where later the suspect shot the recon robot multiple times, resulting in D-Team using gas munitions to force the suspect exit. A plan to enter the property was made, SWAT Officers breached the property and maintained a foothold inside and continued to negotiate with the suspect, the suspect later surrendered his firearm and complied with the demands of the officers on scene, he was was taken into custody by SWAT Officers ending the incident without further incident.

Outstanding work by our CNT Officer who rigosously negotiated with the suspect in this incident despite their background, or the crime that they have committed , D Team prides itself in upholding a reputation as a life saving organization. Our Officers will risk their lives to save yours. Stay ready.
