𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱?

"Right! So I was born in Puerto Rico, near the coast, and I've always been passionate about surfing, been a strong swimmer since a little kid. When I moved to San Fierro with my family, I lost all that and started moving in a different direction. Fortunately, years after I decided to move here to LS with some friends and finally just decide on what I really wanted to do with my life. And also very fortunately, those friends joined Lifeguards. I was inspired by the job, its duties, the community engagement and just being able to help and continue to enjoy the beach in some way. And of course, having my best friends as my work mates. It happened about what.. five to six years ago!"

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝗯?

"Tough question. Let's see.. well by starters the community engagement. I just like meeting people, getting to know their story, help them with anything they need, support the locals around Vespucci. Anything that strengthens that relationship between us Lifeguards and the people of Vespucci. Just being able to help and make the beach a safe place to have fun, enjoy, practice hobbies, anything! And of course, just imagine having the beach as your office. It is just beautiful!"

𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿?

"Lets see, I have two. One good and one good but dangerous one.
I once had the the great opportunity to teach a kid how to swim? She one day came by Tower One, super shy kiddo', and asked if we offered swimming classes. It is not under our regular duties, but hey, that day we had a slow shift and things were doing great so I took the time to teach her the basics. She kept coming every single day, at the same time, asking for me and a class. We ended up practicing for about a month, and she is now a great swimmer! I believe she lives somewhere else now and if social media doesn't lie, has won a couple of school medals in swimming. So, I'm proud of that one.
Then.. we had a beached shark call? Myself and the rest of the team were there to help that big boy shark get back to the water. It was a pretty frightening mission but we got it done! There was this specific moment in which we were trying to move the shark and got a Dhingy close to it? He was NOT happy with that and swinged around and bit a big chunk of our boat out. Almost got us but heh.. at least we helped him back into the water!
All calls have a certain touch to it, they all get the adrenaline going to the max. Diving or Marine Wildlife calls are my favorite though. They are all dangerous, but some more dangerous than others. So, all of 'em are quite exciting. Except for when people drive cars on the sand, those are.. not exciting."

    𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴?

"We love having people at the beach, we love having people at Tower One. Hopefully summer gets here fast and we can all get to enjoy the hot weather again. I'm sure we are gonna start recruiting soon, so, if you believe you are a strong swimmer or would like to know more about how we do things here at Lifeguards please do not hesitate on visiting our website or call the non-emergency line for a ridealong! We are a big great family here at Tower One, couldn't ask for a better team to work with."

  • Following an intense night, Insider's Riley ♡ took a ridealong Khalida Aquila for a look into the work of a stringer. Thanks to their investigative teamwork and professional photography skills, they bring you this story: https://gtaw.gg/FormerMongolKilled

An amendment has been made to the article as the Sheriff's Department clarified the involvement of the Mongol Motorcycle Club, retracting an earlier claim of direct affiliation. It is reported that one of the suspects was unaffiliated while the other was a former member.

We'll continue to bring you updates as they come.

  • Day 3 in San Andreas.
The @LSPD was kind enough to take me on a ridealong this evening. Special thanks to Police Officer III+1 Javier Morillo, Commanding Officer of GED, for showing me what things are like out West.
It's easy to forget that there are other police forces outside of Liberty City that also do very fine work! All in all, a lovely night.
