I've begun drafting a state bill aimed at protecting retail, hospitality, and service employees in their workplaces. It's currently with a colleague in the state senate for review and amendments before being officially introduced. Too many of us have either experienced or witnessed customers harassing, assaulting, or even stalking employees over the smallest of issues. This bill is designed to put an end to that. It proposes fines of up to $10,000 for harassment and stalking in the workplace, while making employee intimidation a misdemeanor offense that could lead to arrest. With these protections in place, I hope to create a safer and more respectful environment for the hardworking men and women of San Andreas, especially Los Santos who keep businesses running. It's time these types of people think twice before mistreating those just trying to do their jobs through means of violence. Alongside this law, I will be promoting a campaign to the Los Santos Police Department and business owners to have people hang signs such as this, or similar in their place of business, see the image attached to this post for reference. This law is going to be known as the "Retail Employee Protection Act" #LSGOV #SAGOV #REPACT
