  • As we wrap up 2024, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible year we’ve had and thank YOU, our residents, for your trust and support.

This year, our team has worked tirelessly to serve our community:
✅ Repaired 100's of miles of roads and sidewalks to keep your daily commutes safe and smooth.
✅ Enhanced public spaces, making our community even more vibrant.
✅ Responded to a number of emergency requests, such as the Paleto fire, swiftly to keep our neighborhoods safe.

Your patience during construction, your feedback on projects, and your pride in our community fuel our efforts. Together, we’re building a stronger, cleaner, and more connected place to call home.

As we celebrate the holidays, let’s look ahead to even greater accomplishments in 2025. Thank you for being an integral part of our progress.

Wishing you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a safe and joyful New Year! 🎉

    Warm regards,
    Sophie Kaczynski
    Director of Public Works

  • Is there too many clubs for an underground rave scene to flourish?

    I'm missing the old days of dragging speakers, decks and car batteries to a random location and partying until we're asked to leave. Depending on what sort of interest it generates, I'm considering relaunching "Definitely Not Raves!" which was heavily associated (though never legally proven) with the following events;

    • "The Construction Site Rave" - Where allegedly multiple people dressed up as construction workers and took over a downtown building site for the evening.
    • "Bounce in a Bunker" - Exactly how it sounds. A rave, only in a bunker. Apparently.
    • "Not Another Beach Rave" - Where allegedly there was food, ice-cream and drinks provided from food trucks.
    • "Beer under the Pier" - Where apparently there was free drinks and a bunch of DJ's taking turns on the decks under Del Perro Pier.

  • This weekend, the City Council will meet to approve C.B. 009, the Municipal Budget.

Included in this budget is several million for the Paleto Bay Business Recovery Fund, meant to support businesses in Los Santos County that suffered revenue losses due to fire damage and the evacuation order. Additionally, the Small Business Fund will provide assistance to fledging businesses with offers of cash investments.

The Municipal Tax Program is also listed, which will allow residents to claim up to $10,000 in tax returns every six months.

Once these funds are approved, several construction bids will also be launched for new infrastructure projects in both the County and City utilizing the City Development Fund.

Forms are being prepared for the budget rollout which will be made available within the following few days of its approval. #LSGOV #LSCOUNTY
