January 11th, 2024. LSPD Special Weapons and Tactics (D-TEAM) executed a high risk arrest warrant for Detectives with the assistance of K-9 Platoon and LSFD Tactical Emergency Medical Services Medics. The HRAW and accomplices evaded police units before stop sticks were deployed, bringing their evasion to a close. SWAT assets then moved to block the vehicle. A K-9 was deployed on scene when a felon attempted to flee and a successful takedown occurred. All three were arrested after evading police officers. During the early hours of December 29, 2022 LSPD SWAT and K9 Platoon served a series of search warrants in relation to a murder that happened in Mission Row Division's area. Two long guns and two handguns and a large variety of narcotics were seized. 14 July, 2022 - LSPD SWAT respond to a call for Mutual Aid from San Andreas Park Rangers who reported an armed hostage situation inside a room at the Motor Motel on Route 68. SWAT operators, with support from LSPD K9, arrived and began negotiations. Following a tense standoff, SWAT made entry to effect a rescue of the hostage after it was established that they were bleeding out from a prior wound and would likely not survive a prolonged siege. Operators engaged the hostage taker, neutralising them and successfully rescued the hostage, at which point LSPD Tactical Medics and LSFD personnel engaged in medical intervention before transporting them to hospital. April 8, 2022 - Early in the Morning an unstable male subject armed with a handgun evaded officers in a postal truck before eventually stopping at the Davis LTD gas station. Here, the subject entered and took the clerk hostage at gunpoint. A hostage situation response was initiated by LSPD and members of the LSPD SWAT team as well as K9 platoon began containment and negotiations. The subject was extremely unhinged and fired numerous bullets through the store window at police from a position of cover while negotiations continued. Eventually, a SWAT marksman neutralised the subject when they attempted to shoot at officers outside the building after emerging from cover.
