It's a vital part of our commitment to ensuring that both our dogs and their handlers stay in good shape. It is with a heavy heart that we extend our deepest condolences to the brave men and women of the Los Santos Fire Department and The LS Department of Public Works, we stand hand in hand with you in this tragic outcome. As an agency that previously tasted the sour taste of loss, we understand how you feel on a personal and professional level. Those brave souls that were lost did not deserve that outcome, and we offer our deepest support to them and their families. The legacy of those that have passed, Captain John Vaitkus and Senior Technician John Stephens, will live on forever. Your service and dedication shall remain carved in our minds.

Please know that the entire agency of SANFIRE is here for you, we stand in solidarity with all those who are affected by this tragic outcome, we offer not only our sympathy and support, but also assistance in any form that may be needed. Effective immediately, we've decided to wear mourning bands until the 19th of April on our uniforms to show our mourning too. May the memory of those brave fallen comrades inspire us all to keep carrying their legacy by serving the community in their honor.

On April 4th, 2024, our latest batch of academy students swore their oath of office in front of our chiefs and supervisors, officially becoming deputy fire marshal trainees. Congratulations to all those individuals for their dedication, hard work, and commitment over the past months to get where they are today. We wish them a great and lengthy career within our department!

Yesterday, our latest SanFire academy recruits completed their training session with flying colors. Their courage, dedication, and fitness levels were truly commendable, leading to all of them passing. The next step before they are able to go out on the field will be the graduation ceremony.
