- STATEMENT REGARDING PROTESTS: We fully support the right to peaceful protest as enshrined in the First Amendment. Our department is dedicated to upholding transparency and fostering trust within the community. We are aware of the concerns raised and are taking them seriously. In line with our commitment to accountability, the deputies involved have been placed on administrative leave pending a thorough investigation by the Internal Affairs Bureau to determine if any misconduct has occurred. We ask all those attending to maintain peace and solidarity throughout the protests.

- PUBLIC NOTICE: On the 24th of January 2025 a public demonstration is planned to take place at the LS County Courthouse, while we respect the right to peacefully protest, we ask all in the area to remain safe and beware of their surroundings. A Sheriff's Response Team will be in the area to maintain peace and stability.
- The #LSSD is currently on scene with #LSFD and #OSFM on Greenwhich Parkway for an industrial fire. Part of the parkway closest to Autopia Parkway will be shut down until the fire is cleared and a preliminary investigation is completed. We do not have an estimate for when traffic will resume.
We recommend planning to take a detour if you have a need to travel this way tonight.
